Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information LiftRoster, operated by Greg Normann, a sole proprietor based in Orange County, California, collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. LiftRoster is used by businesses to keep forklift operator training and daily forklift check records.
1. The short version
- Your business owns its data. We store and process it to run LiftRoster for you.
- We don't sell data, and we don't use your operators' records for advertising.
- You can get your data out. Print or save your audit packet and certificates at any time, or ask us for a full export.
2. Information we collect
Records your business enters or creates in LiftRoster (you control these):
- Operator details: name, the forklift classes they're trained on, course language, and contact details if you add them.
- Training and certification records: course progress and quiz results, hands-on evaluation results, evaluator names, training and evaluation dates, certificates, wallet cards and renewal dates.
- Forklift and daily check records: forklift unit details, pre-shift checklist results, defect notes, tag-outs and repairs, with the operator and time of each check.
- Operator PINs used to sign daily checks.
Account and billing information: the names and work emails of account owners and managers, your company and site name, and your plan and billing status. Card payments are handled by Stripe; we don't receive or store your full card number.
Demo requests and messages: the name, email, phone, company, city and details you send us through the demo form or by email.
Basic technical information: standard server and security logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) kept by our hosting providers. If you arrive through a partner referral link, we store the referral code in your browser for up to 90 days so the partner gets credit. We don't use advertising trackers.
3. How we use it
- To provide LiftRoster: show your dashboard, run the course and daily checks, produce certificates and audit packets, and send renewal reminder emails.
- To bill your subscription and handle refunds.
- To respond to demo requests and support questions.
- To keep the Service secure, fix problems and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations.
4. Who owns the data
The records your business puts into LiftRoster belong to your business. We act as your service provider: we process those records only on your instructions and to provide and support the Service. As the employer, you decide who is added and are responsible for having the right to share your employees' information with us.
5. Getting a copy of your data
You can print or save as PDF your audit packet (operator roster, training status and daily check history) and each operator's certificate and wallet card at any time from your dashboard. For a complete export of your company's records, email [email protected] from an account owner's email and we'll send it to you, including after you cancel.
6. Service providers we use
We share information only with providers that help us run LiftRoster, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Supabase: database, sign-in and server functions where your records are stored.
- Stripe: subscription payments and billing.
- Resend: sending emails such as renewal reminders and demo-request notices.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery and security.
The explainer video on our home page is hosted by YouTube and loads only if you click play. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data.
7. We don't sell your data
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
8. How long we keep it
We keep your records while your account is active, because training records and certifications need to be kept for years. After you cancel, we keep your records for a reasonable period so you can come back or request an export, and then delete them unless the law requires us to keep them longer. To request earlier deletion, email us.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Each company's records are kept separate in the database, and access is limited to the people your account owner invites. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login details and operator PINs private.
10. Your choices and California privacy rights
Operators and other individuals whose information is in a customer's account should contact their employer first, since the employer controls those records; we'll help our customers respond. Where California or other privacy laws give you rights to know, correct or delete your personal information, you can contact us at [email protected]. We won't discriminate against you for using those rights.
11. Children
LiftRoster is for workplaces and is not meant for children. Forklift operators must be at least 18 under federal law.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we'll post it here and notify account owners by email.
